How can I make the most of Free Class Day?

Look at the above schedule to plan your day and choose classes you would like your child to attend. Class passes will be issued at the event. Because we want to give you a true class experience, space will be limited. Each child may take up to two classes, based on availability, so plan to arrive early to check in and request your passes.

How many students will be in each class?

Our class sizes are normally limited to 5-6 students in order to provide the highest quality educational experience.

Will the teacher that day be my child's teacher if we sign up for the class?

The faculty who are presenting the free classes are usually the same instructors during regular class sessions.

Will there be offerings for very young children and toddlers?

Yes, we will have early childhood Music for Aardvarks classes for ages 1 – 4, and Songs in Motion for ages 3-5! See the schedule above for those class times.

What can I do while I'm waiting for a class?

There are free activities under the tent, from ice cream to music crafts, as well as a chance to explore instruments and ask questions about renting and buying instruments at our retailer partner Instrument Fair in the Recital Hall. (See above for vendors.)

Can I sign up for a program during the event?

Yes, all of our friendly staff will be on hand to answer any questions and guide you through the registration process. We will also have information about instrument rentals and any other needs you may have to prepare for your musical experience at Indian Hill.
