Special Programs

Your tuition includes many options to enhance your music education at Indian Hill Music School!

RECITALS

Student recitals are held in January/February and May/June in our beautiful, 200-seat performance space, Camilla Blackman Hall. Recitals build student confidence and willingness to challenge themselves, while giving students goals for their lessons and home practice. While recitals are not required, we encourage every student to participate in at least two performances each year.

Recitals are open to all instruments, age levels, and abilities. Please see your teacher for details.

HONORS RECITALS

String and Piano teachers nominate their most skilled, dedicated, and improved students to perform in these respective recitals for family, friends, and the Indian Hill Music School community.

Please talk with your teacher for more information. Dates and details available at the Music School office.

PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS

On-stage practice in a casual masterclass format with expert coaching from our Music School Faculty. Performance workshops are ideal for students preparing for recitals, auditions, or competitions and looking to refine their pieces and learn best practices to enhance their on-stage music making.

In December, Indian Hill Music School students age 8-21 may participate in our annual Student Concerto Competition, which provides an opportunity for advanced students to receive expert feedback from our panel of guest judges and to compete for a chance to perform as a soloist with the Orchestra of Indian Hill, a singular opportunity. Indian Hill Music School also hosts a Piano Competition each spring where expert adjudicators from around the region provide feedback to our most advanced piano students. Click on links below. See your teacher for more details.
