No instrument? No problem!

Indian Hill Music will have instruments available for piano, string, guitar, ukulele, and drum lessons. You may bring your own string, woodwind, or brass instrument or borrow one for your free lesson from one of our vendor partners. Let us know on the registration form if you need to borrow an instrument.

FREE LESSON DAY - FAQ

Who can participate in Free Lesson Day?

Anyone, ages 5 through adult, who is not currently enrolled in private lessons at Indian Hill Music may take one free in-person lesson on an age-appropriate instrument of their choice. Current Indian Hill Music students enrolled in private lessons, classes, or ensembles may sign up to take one free lesson on a new instrument only; subject to availability. If you are interested in online lessons, please contact our office at (978) 486-9524 (press 0).

How do I sign up for Free Lesson Day?

Advance reservations are required for this event. Please submit the Free Lesson Day Sign-Up Form by Saturday, January 22, 2022. Please contact the office for assistance at info@indianhillmusic.org or (978) 486-9524 (press 0).

How do I find out my lesson time for that day?

Registered participants will receive an email confirmation with their assigned 30-minute lesson time by Tuesday, January 25. Be sure to check your spam folders, and add “www.indianhillmusic.org” as a Safe Sender.

Can I participate if I don’t have an instrument?

Yes! We will have instruments available for piano, string, guitar, ukulele, and drum lessons. You may bring your own string, woodwind, or brass instrument or borrow one for your free lesson from one of our vendor partners. Let us know on the registration form if you need to borrow an instrument.

Will there be additional information available at Free Lesson Day?

Yes! Our professional staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer your questions. You’ll have an opportunity to speak with us after your lesson.

Can I register for private lessons on that day?

Yes! If you decide to enroll in lessons, our staff will provide details and guide you through the enrollment process. Free Lesson Day participants who register for private lessons by February 7 will be eligible for a special discount. (There is no obligation to enroll after your free lesson.) 

Will I be able to take lessons with the teacher I worked with today?

Yes, if there is an appropriate opening in that teacher’s schedule. Otherwise, we will match you up with another excellent teacher from our faculty who we think will be the best fit.

Is financial aid available for private lessons?

Yes. Please contact our office at info@indianhillmusic.org or (978) 486-9524 to learn about need-based scholarships or complete the scholarship form online.

What about COVID-19 protocols for this event?

Our protocols will include masking, distancing, sanitizing, and air purification in each room. In addition, we will ask the woodwinds and brass instruments to use special masks and instrument coverings. Please see our COVID protocols page for complete details
