Come and play traditional Irish music! Open to players of fiddle, concertina, button accordion, mandolin, guitar, Irish flute, and whistle who have previous experience learning traditional Irish tunes by ear on their own.

Ukulele Club

1:45-2:15pm (for adults ages 18+)
Led by Mark Femino

Bring your uke and have some fun! Ukulele Club covers basic instrument technique, including chords, strumming, and singing while playing. We play a wide variety of song material across many styles and eras of American popular music.

Old-Time Appalachian Music Jam

2:30-3pm (for ages 16+)
Led by Ellie MacPhee

Explore the roots of Southern Appalachian old-time folk music. We will learn a number of tunes that will be broken down by melody, rhythms, bowing patterns, and embellishments. Variations and improvisations will be studied, and students will be encouraged to make the music their own.

Traditional Multi-Genre Acoustic Jam

3:15-3:45pm (for ages 14+)
Led by Bob Alessio

Play your favorite songs and tunes spanning every genre of Traditional Acoustic Roots Music: Folk, Celtic, Country, Blues, Bluegrass, Gospel, Appalachian/Old-Time, and more, not to mention Reels, Jigs, Waltzes, Polkas, and Airs. All instruments are welcome!
