Virtual Discovery Lecture: Our Brains on Music

Wed., May 5, 2021 at 7:00PM on Zoom

"Our Brains on Music: Still Learning After All These Years"

Eric Kamen

Pianist, composer, Indian Hill faculty member

As aging learners, how do we fend off the fog and impairment that sometimes impedes our learning or even our desire to take on new hobbies and skills in our later years? Find out how new challenges and old challenges revisited in our later years can stimulate our brains and bring on a revitalized sense of self and well-being.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Indian Hill faculty member Eric Kamen teaches classical and jazz piano, theory, and composition. An active performer and composer, he holds a B.M. and M.M. in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory. Eric’s original commissioned compositions have been performed at the Massachusetts State House, Brattle Theater, WCRB radio, Boston Composer’s New Music Series, and on the Orchestra of Indian Hill’s concert series.
